The information is sourced from the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE Plus), which is a national-level database maintained by schools.

It helps parents, researchers, policymakers, and the general public make informed decisions or conduct analyses based on school data.

The App also promotes school accountability and supports government planning and interventions.
