Features & Capabilities

Doors open less often, trials drag on, and you no longer know where your faith stands. Every evening, Basirah has you look at one act of your day. Free for life.

Doors open less often. The people around you have become less pleasant, or maybe it's you. And if someone asked where your faith stands, you wouldn't know what to answer.

There is a practice for this. It is called muhasaba. Every evening, you take one act from your day and you look at it.

NOTHING HERE IS INVENTED Allah says in the Quran: “O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow.” (Surah Al-Hashr, v.18) Umar Ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Judge yourselves before you are judged.” The app draws on Madarij as-Salikin by Ibn al-Qayyim and on the works of Sheikh ‘Abderrazaq al-Badr on the causes of the increase and decrease of faith.

FIVE QUESTIONS, ONE ACT You choose one act from your day. An act of worship, a habit, a slip. The app asks five questions about it, and by the end you know whether that act brought you closer to Allah or took you further away. That is all we ask of you tonight.

YOU TILT THE PHONE There is nothing to check off. You tilt the device, an orb moves, and you leave it where it truly matches your state. It takes a few seconds, and that is what stops you answering on autopilot.

THE VERDICT After the five questions, a direction. There are only three. Hamd if the act was good and you saw clearly. Tawba if you need to return. Reform if the intention was right and the method wrong. No score, no curve, no percentage of faith.

WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Three things work by voice, in Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts. Log an act on the spot, the moment it happens, to take it up again in the evening. The counsel of the heart. A reminder chosen from the diagnosis of your last few muhasaba, not at random. The state of the heart. Where you stand overall, and what to move toward. More gratitude, or more repentance. These actions are built for the new generation of Siri and ready for Apple Intelligence. Everything stays on device.

THE SAKINA.DAY ECOSYSTEM You do your muhasaba in the evening, and Fajr O'Clock knows. Tomorrow's wake-up can take it into account. When the verdict shows you are missing knowledge, Basirah suggests a reading in Bayān. Only keywords and dates travel between the apps. Never the content of your acts. And never toward an app you have not installed.

WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO No score, no notifications, no ads, no account to create. Nothing leaves your device. Basirah does not lecture you and never calls you to order. You are the one who comes, on the evening you need it. Free, and free for life.

The first evening takes three minutes.
