Vision Training for Reading
Reaching for reading glasses? Try a free guided visual exercise for reading up close. Adaptive practice challenges detail, contrast, recognition, and visual speed.
TRAIN THE VISUAL SKILLS USED FOR READING UP CLOSE
If menus, phone text, or fine print are becoming harder to read, Visionary offers guided visual exercises for reading up close. Adaptive tasks practice detail, contrast, recognition, visual search, and reading-related skills.
KNOW WHAT TO TRAIN NEXT
Visionary turns perceptual-learning exercises into a plan you can follow. Instead of choosing from a collection of exercises, you get one focused next session, a clear reason it was selected, and an honest explanation of what your result means.
START WITH A FREE GUIDED SESSION
Your first guided session begins a training baseline. After the session, you can see what you trained and preview the continuing plan before deciding whether to start a subscription trial. Trial length, localized renewal price, and terms are shown before purchase.
TRAIN FOUR VISUAL-SKILL AREAS
• Detail & Contrast — practice distinguishing fine, faint, and closely related patterns
• Reading & Recognition — practice letters, words, shapes, and sentences under changing conditions
• Speed & Search — practice finding and identifying visual information efficiently
• Eye Movement & Awareness — practice tracking, scanning, and awareness away from the center
Word and sentence exercises use language-specific training content in English, German, Japanese, and Polish. Exercises adapt their difficulty to your responses. Sessions are designed to be short, and you can always choose another available exercise.
PROGRESS WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK
Visionary separates training evidence from claims about eyesight. Session results explain whether an exercise is still calibrating, building a reliable baseline, stable, or showing a comparable training trend. Accuracy alone is not presented as proof of improvement when difficulty changes.
Your plan also includes periodic Check-ins that review your practice mix and refresh your focus. When the starting plan is complete, Visionary moves into an ongoing plan instead of leaving you at a dead end.
INFORMED BY PERCEPTUAL-LEARNING RESEARCH
Visionary uses adaptive visual exercises, including Gabor-based tasks, informed by peer-reviewed research on perceptual learning. Research reports improvements on trained visual tasks and, in some studies, near-vision outcomes. Individual results vary by person, task, and training consistency.
