ReelLife Conversations is a thoughtfully designed app created to support meaningful reminiscence between people living with dementia and those who care for them. Behind the scenes, the app connects photos with intelligent conversation prompts, suggesting topics based on the people, places, and details in the image. This helps conversations flow naturally and reduces the pressure of finding the right thing to say. The app can help build confidence for people with dementia by gently supporting name and place recall. Instead of avoiding conversation for fear of getting something wrong, users are encouraged with prompts that help them feel reassured and engaged.

If faces or places are not recognised, the app offers alternative conversation prompts linked to details in the image. The app smoothly guides users to the next photo, supporting a more natural, comfortable flow of conversation. The app includes a curated photo collection, featuring familiar public figures and imagery from the 1980s to the present day, and this collection is available free for 7 days. Once subscribed, users gain access to our Family Admin Portal, that sits outside the app, where they can upload their own photos for a fully personalised experience. Alternatively, once subscribed they can continue to use the provided photos. The app is designed to be calm, simple, and accessible.
