Gemmy: Emotions Toolkit

Welcome to the Gemmy app for mental well-being, developed within the EU research project Youth-GEMs (https://youth-gems.eu/) as a powerful tool for self-assessment and emotional well-being, tailored to the real needs of adolescents and young adults. Gemmy offers different features such as goal setting, emotion tracking, and positive affirmations, to support personal growth and healthy habits. It also provides a set of grounding activities - simple, research-backed techniques designed to help young people regain a sense of calm when feeling overwhelmed. These activities include immersive calming stimuli like sounds, vibrations, and animations, guided breathing exercises and soothing music. What makes Gemmy truly unique is its co-creation process - young people have been actively involved from the start, ensuring the app meets their real needs. Additionally, all content was developed together with psychology researchers and experts, ensuring it is both evidence-based and practical.
