Who it's for • Students — Sign up with your school email. Your account is locked to your campus, so you list, buy, and sell inside your own school community. • Everyone else — A free non-student account lets you browse and message sellers. Follow up to 3 campuses near you and shop their boards. Listing and selling stay student-only. • Don't see your school? Request it in the app and we'll email you the moment your email domain is approved.

Buy • Search every listing on your campus board, or filter by category, price range, and how the seller wants to be paid. • Shop by Textbooks, Dorm Gear, Electronics, Clothing, and a dozen more categories, from kitchen stuff to instruments to bikes. • Save listings you're thinking about and come back to them later. • ISBN alerts — save the ISBN for a book nobody's selling yet, and we'll notify you the second someone on your campus lists it.

Sell • Textbooks: scan the barcode on the back and the title fills itself in. Set a condition and price and it's up. • Stuff & gear: furniture, tech, decor, fridges, anything you're done with. • Add up to 3 photos per listing and pick which one leads. • Tag how you'd like to be paid: Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Any. • 10 free listings each for books and items. Need more? A one-time $3 unlock raises your cap to 20. • Sold it? Mark it sold from the chat and everyone who asked about it sees a SOLD stamp.

Chat • Message any verified user directly about a listing, with the item pinned to the top of the thread. • See when the other person is online now or when they were last around, so you know if that meet-up reply is coming. • Delete conversations you're done with.

Campus Hub • Clubs & Events — see what's happening on campus this week. • Host an event for $15: it gets promoted for a week and lands on the front page of every phone on campus. Organizers can open an event to the general public, not just students. • What's new, feedback straight to us, and a way to support the app.

How Money Works • DormDeal doesn't take a cut and doesn't sit in the middle of your sale. You and the buyer meet on campus and settle up however you both agreed, cash, Venmo, or Zelle. No shipping, no waiting, no marketplace fees eating your textbook money. • The only things you can pay for inside the app are extra listing slots, event hosting, and donations, all handled by Stripe.
