User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise Sort Factory! for its fun, puzzle-driven core gameplay and early-level challenge, but report widespread stability problems on startup and questions about currency mechanics. A subset notes that coin use and power-ups can feel unclear or disrupt the balance. The game shows strong puzzle appeal but needs improvements in stability, currency clarity, and pacing to realize its full potential.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging puzzle gameplay that players enjoy.
  • Challenging early levels that feel rewarding for puzzle lovers.
  • Power-ups are useful and add strategic options.
Cons
  • Frequent startup/loading issues, including being stuck on the loading screen, purple start page, or brand/title screens.
  • Coins system is unclear or confusing to players (unclear purpose and use).
  • Balance concerns where auto-difficulty changes or random power-ups disrupt puzzle flow.

I enjoy this game but I get annoyed with it sometimes. If you lose a level too many times (3 or 4 times?) it will automatically remove some of the challenges to make it easier to win. I like when the levels are hard; I want to solve the puzzle the way it was supposed to be! I don’t mind trying multiple times! It feels like it doesn’t trust me to be able to handle puzzles that need trial and error. Please make it a toggle setting so the automatic challenge reduction can be turned off. Thank you.

The amount of times you get stuck on a very hard level and it gets to the point where you have to pay to pass it is ridiculous

The game is fun… until it isn’t. It can be tricky to manage a limited number of depots and conveyor slots. The power ups are actually useful, and each has its use. I was able to get enough coins to afford the power ups that I needed (~1 per hard level). You get bonus power ups for a winning streak, but they are used automatically and the hammers are random - the hammers tend to throw off the rhythm of the level. The gold tray and flying depot are single use. I found myself losing on purpose just to break the streak so the hammers didn’t make the level harder. Then level 228 happened. It was a game changer… for the worse. Timed depots that need to be cleared quickly to avoid losing. Timer starts as soon as you add a case to the conveyor. They don’t put the timers on depots with a single load either, by level 230 I needed to find three of the right color cases within 2 minutes. Transforms the thinking game I enjoyed into a stressful hunt for the right cases (while managing the limited conveyor and depot space). The game is no longer fun, so I’ll be deleting it. Two stars because the first couple hundred levels were a worthy puzzle, when random “power ups” didn’t mess them up.
