User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise Ming: Rivers of Blood for its fun, addictive gameplay and stunning Ming Dynasty visuals. However, they repeatedly cite stability issues (crashes/glitches), bot activity and problematic server management (many crowded servers, ineffective merges, and cross-server play problems), and a lack of controller support. Some also report data loss after updates and unresponsive support. Overall, strong concept and aesthetics clash with reliability and UX challenges that hinder long-term enjoyment.
Pros
  • Fun and addictive gameplay that makes it easy to spend time playing
  • Gorgeous visuals/graphics with a Ming Dynasty aesthetic
  • Engaging storyline and quest exploration that some players praise
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability glitches on various devices
  • Bots presence and questionable server management (many low-activity servers, bot traffic, and ineffective server merges affecting cross-server play)
  • Lack of controller support and related accessibility/options
  • Data loss after updates and perceived poor customer support/responsiveness

this game, for what it is, isn’t that bad at all. it’s fun. it’s addictive. it’s a great play to pass the time. but the problem comes in when they only allow a server to be live for TWO days before opening a new server. MY server (50) has a total of 6 active players in it…. SIX. that’s ridiculous. then they have the nerve to have bots running around trying to make it seem like the game is being played. it isn’t. these bots can’t be interacted with. you can’t see their gear you can’t add them as a friend so it’s a dead giveaway that THAT isn’t a player… it’s decoration. this game should realistically have at most 20 servers; instead they’re at 56 and counting. personally— i say don’t bother downloading. this is a cash grab plain and simple. also the cross play barely works for cross server dungeons. just a big all around no for me, but if you like massive multiplayer online games where you’re basically alone, then this is the game for you. Edit: they responded and said that the bots are there to help do dungeons faster; LOL they do no damage. your wanderers and pet do more damage than bots. and server merges? you mean like the two server merges you guys did for serve 50 already that fixed absolutely nothing? ah yes. great job guys. as far as the bots go, i was talking about the ones that run around the world attacking mobs. they’re “fake players” to make the game seem like it’s being played but it isn’t.

The game is excellent in every way but has a big issue that makes me no longer wanna play: the fonts and titles are too big! Sometimes you can’t even see your characters or other characters cuz the screen is flooded with their names with big fonts. Please add a setting which we are able to minimize the fonts.
