Don Mr. is the first dating app built for men, designed by men. The app provides a unique cultural exchange platform that connects American men with women in Perú, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile. Our research and insights show a high degree of compatibility and high dating affinity between these two demographic groups. Don Mr.'s users are only able to see the profiles and interact with users from Flaca, the corresponding dating app for women in the aforementioned Latin American countries. Don Mr.’s users will not be able to see and/or interact with users from the same app, aside from the Advice Forum, on which users can elect to participate.

In a time when there are diverging perspectives on gender expression, we want to redefine American masculinity through a Latin American perspective: by providing cultural tips on poetry, music, cuisine, and travel that strengthen conversation topics and create compatibility. Unlike other dating apps, Don Mr. discourages mindless swiping and instead gives the user a brief 10-second pause after sending 10 likes. During the brief pause, the user is presented with a cultural tip on Latin American poetry, music, travel, and cuisine. These tips will strengthen the Latin American cultural knowledge of the American user, which will facilitate the conversation topics for interaction with potential matches from Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.

We have a manual moderation system that is supervised daily by members of our team. Don Mr.’s users can block or report profile cards throughout their app experience.
