SIM Management in Detail
SIM management is the foundational function of the ONENET IoT Monitor App, enabling users to control how and where their IoT SIM cards operate. Tri Cascade’s platform traditional SIM cards, allowing flexible deployment across consumer and industrial use cases.
SIM Activation & Lifecycle Management
Users can activate SIM cards instantly through the ONENET IoT Monitor App. During the activation process, the app:
Registers the SIM’s ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier)
Links it to a specific device via IMEI
Assigns a predefined rate plan
Selects the appropriate network (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.)
The app supports bulk activation for enterprise deployments, ensuring seamless provisioning of hundreds or thousands of SIMs simultaneously.
Data Usage Monitoring
Every SIM card's usage is tracked in real-time. Users can:
Monitor MB/GB usage by day/week/month
View which devices are using the most data
Compare usage across groups or timeframes
Set thresholds to receive alerts when nearing data limits
This granular visibility prevents overages, identifies anomalies (e.g., abnormal data spikes), and helps optimize bandwidth allocation.
Plan Management & Billing Integration
The app integrates directly with billing and rate plan modules, allowing users to:
Upgrade/downgrade their plan in real-time
Switch between pre-paid and post-paid
Review current charges, historical invoices, and pending balances
For large deployments, administrators can batch assign or automate plan changes based on usage patterns.
ICCID and IMEI Binding
To prevent misuse or SIM swapping, each SIM can be locked to a specific device using the IMEI. This function:
Adds an extra layer of security
Prevents unauthorized use in other devices
Ensures traceability for all network access
Alerts and Notifications
Custom alert settings include:
Daily/weekly/monthly data caps
Device inactivity alerts (e.g., no connection for X hours)
High roaming data usage
Unauthorized SIM movement
These alerts can be sent via in-app push notifications, SMS, or email.
Device Management in Detail
Beyond connectivity, ONENET IoT Monitor App allows users to remotely monitor, control, and configure IoT devices regardless of their location.
