Palestinian Heritage Trail is a long-distance cultural hiking route in Palestine. The trail is about 550 km long and extends from the village of Rummana northwest of Jenin to Beit Mirsim southwest of Hebron back to Artas in Bethlehem, in addition to the newly developed Jerusalem segment that starts in Eizariya through the Old City of Jerusalem towards the villages in the Northwest (Beit Surik to Beit Duqqo).

The Palestinian Heritage Trail mobile application offers an immersive and practical way to explore Palestine’s longest cultural hiking route, bringing the richness of the trail directly to users’ phones. Covering over 550 kilometers from Rummana near Jenin in the north to Beit Mirsim near Hebron in the south, the app enables hikers to navigate through more than 75 towns and villages, including the Jerusalem segment, which begins in Eizariya, passes through the Old City of Jerusalem, and continues westward toward Beit Surik and Beit Duqqo. Designed for both local and international hikers, the app provides interactive maps with waypoints marking historical, natural, and cultural sites, all of which can be accessed online or downloaded for offline use. In addition to navigation, the app offers rich storytelling elements that highlight Palestinian traditions, hospitality, landscapes, and daily life. It includes comprehensive information on each trail section, community profiles, and logistical support such as accommodation options, local guides, women-run centers, homestays, and tour operators. The user-friendly interface also features a hiker passport system that allows users to track their journey, document completed segments and collect digital stamps. To support meaningful and respectful travel, the app includes safety guidelines, planning tips, cultural etiquette, and a phrasebook.
