I started out with the free 7 day version and I can say it’s pretty good. After the trial I figured I’m learning quick so why not get the paid version. I the island function is more of a decorative thing but still it’s fun to get stuff and fill it out. My Only issue with it is that it says that it will focus on the items you had more trouble with but mine keeps giving me the ones that are super easy. I like to do sets of 50 or 100 at a time but sometimes I’ve gone an entire set of 50 it hadn’t asked me what ね is at all, and it will ask me what ぅ and や and し are like 5 times each. Aside from that it’s really good and I would definitely atleast check it out. I found the best way to remember is with the drawing function and a lot of repetition. Whenever I would use the sentence or phrase quiz I would just pick the character out that I knew and used process of elimination but with the drawing function I actually have to remember what it is and even brush strokes. It also helps because some of the written forms are very similar. All together pretty good for memorization and will likely continue using this app in the future as good supplementary learning.
