User Reviews

Users see Captify Glass as promising hardware with easy-to-use interfaces and readable subtitles, and as lightweight and comfortable. However, reviews highlight persistent reliability problems: frequent connectivity issues, slow or inconsistent internet status, and transcription latency. Software bugs and missing features also appear, tempering enthusiasm. Positive experiences center on intuitive navigation and clear text. Overall, the product has potential for hard-of-hearing users when it works, but software reliability and connectivity must improve for broader adoption.

  • Latency in transcription causing delays and inaccuracies.

I have been in using the Captify glasses for a couple of months and have mixed feelings. The software still needs tweaking. When it works it works great but often it disconnects halfway though a conversation due to slow or loss of internet for no reason (all my other internet programs work fine at this time). I can’t always take the time to reboot the app to get it to work during critical patients conversations. When it is slow, there end up being awkward pauses as I wait for the transcription to catch up. This causes me to have to explain about my hearing loss when the focus should be on my patients. I can see the potential and just hope it works more reliably at some point.

App doesn’t progress past “What’s your name?” Restarted iPhone, Deleted and downloaded again. Should not have to provide personal info to set up :( iPhone 16 Pro Max

As title says, app needs more work. You can have solid wifi and cellular but it goes in and out saying “slow internet” or “no internet” when your phone has strong wifi or4 cellular bars. Not sure if they need to update and improve their servers but this is an app issue more than glasses.
