User Reviews

VinylSnap is praised for its user-friendly design and a solid scan-to-catalog workflow, with useful rough value estimates and the ability to generate a printable collection. However, repeated complaints about misidentifications and missing pressing details undermine trust in its data. Users report frequent crashes and camera issues, plus inconsistent results across scans. Billing problems and aggressive subscription terms, including upfront charges and refund difficulties, further sour user sentiment. Overall, it’s a promising quick catalog tool with notable flaws in accuracy, reliability, and pricing that limit its long-term usefulness.
Pros
  • Easy to use / user-friendly interface
  • Effective scanning/camera for identifying titles and cataloging (snap-to-scan)
  • Provides value estimates and a printable catalog of your collection
Cons
  • Inaccurate/misidentified records and mislabels (including frequent Beatles mislabeling)
  • Billing and subscription issues (upfront charges, trial refunds, and cancellation difficulties)
  • Reliability problems (crashes, camera issues, inconsistent scan results)
  • Limited data depth (no condition, pressings, matrix numbers)
  • Export/print features are unreliable or not consistently available

Would be worth it if it was accurate. Otherwise I’m not sure what I’m paying for. Also cant can new sealed records. Then they charged me $30 for this garbage. No way to refund. Scam.

Having a blast using this wonderful application. Priced our large albums had a lot of fun. Have 1000.00 worth. And we have a lot of 45s and this app identifies them all 70s and early black groups. Fascinating application.

My sincere congratulations to the staff of VinylSnap for providing an app that is truly customer friendly. It provides more than you expect. Being able to print out your collection of vinyl and getting a good guesstimate of the value of your collection is well worth the cost. They set the bar for providing an app the really delivers. Can’t wait to tell my friends about this app.
