Established by the British in 1878, The Secunderabad Club stands as one of India’s oldest and most distinguished clubs. Nestled on a lush, green, 22-acre campus, its century-old Main Club House has been granted Heritage status by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority. Until 1947, the privilege of presidency and membership at The Secunderabad Club was exclusively reserved for British citizens and a select few high-ranking Hyderabad nobility. However, today, the Club boasts an impressive membership of 8000, encompassing individuals from all walks of life – military officers, bureaucrats, diplomats, police officials, erstwhile royalty, professionals, scientists, and businessmen, totalling over 30,000 potential members.
