To add friends on Tokii, simply open the app together with someone nearby.

• No friend search, no phone numbers, and no IDs to exchange.
• When you’re close to each other and both have Tokii open, you can connect instantly.
• Connected friends appear in your Around list when they are nearby.
• Add friends to Picks if you want to keep them in your list and allow messaging.

Tokii is carefully designed to ensure safe communication, particularly for users under 18.

• Tokii is available to users aged 13 and older.
• Age is required during signup and cannot be changed later.
• Age information is used only to enforce safety rules — not for advertising.

** Extra Protection for Teens **

For users under 18, Tokii automatically applies stricter rules:

• Age-filtered discovery

• Teens can only discover nearby users within a limited age range.
• Anonymous adults outside this range are not visible or reachable.

• Message approval required

• Teens can receive messages only from users they explicitly approve (Picks).
• Messages from unknown users are automatically blocked.

** Bluetooth Without Location Tracking **

• Tokii uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) only to discover nearby users.
• No GPS, no precise location, no location storage.
• BLE discovery always respects age-based safety filters.

** Stay Anonymous **

• No real names, emails, phone numbers, or contacts required.
• No social media login.
• Users interact using pseudonymous profiles only.

** Control & Moderation **

• Block or report users anytime.
• Reported content is reviewed, and repeated violations may lead to suspension.
