FREE, AND NO ACCOUNT

30 teas with the brewing data already entered: water temperature in F and C, steep time, and how much leaf to how much water. English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Sencha, Dragon Well, Tie Guan Yin, Silver Needle, Shou Pu-erh, Chamomile, Rooibos and 19 more. Matcha is in the free set too, with its water temperature and leaf-to-water ratio. Black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh and herbal are all in the free set.

The Western brewing timer. Pick a tea, tap once, put the phone down. The countdown runs on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity, so you can check it without opening anything, and, with notifications allowed, an alert tells you when the steep is done. On iOS 26 and later, if you allow it, the finish alert can sound through a silenced phone.

PREMIUM, WHICH IS A SUBSCRIPTION

The whole library. All 176 teas in the core collection, plus seasonal teas that rotate through the year.

AI photo identification. Point the camera at loose leaf or a packet and Teafinity identifies the tea, then opens the brewing data for it. If it cannot place one, you can request it.

Gongfu timers across the whole library. Every infusion gets its own clock and its own length, so a gongfu tea that wants 30 seconds, then 40, then 50 is not one flat countdown repeated five times.

Tea requests. Ask for a tea the library does not have yet. New teas and guides land every month.

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS

Premium is a yearly plan or a weekly plan. New subscribers start the yearly plan with a 7-day free trial. The App Store shows the price in your own currency before anything is charged.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
