Pladio is an internet radio player for people who just want to listen. No ads. No account. Nothing sold about you. Browse more than 40,000 stations from around the world — by country, genre, language, or what's playing near you — and start listening with a tap.

KNOW WHAT'S PLAYING

Pladio reads the metadata a station sends and matches it against Apple Music, so you usually see the artist, title, and cover art of the track that's on right now. When a station sends nothing useful, tap the recognition button. Pladio listens to a few seconds of the stream and tells you what's playing. Found something you like? The same button adds it to your Apple Music library.

EVERYWHERE YOU LISTEN

iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and CarPlay — with a menu bar mini player on the Mac and native CarPlay templates in the car. Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy widgets are free for everyone and start a station immediately, even when Pladio isn't running. Siri Shortcuts, Spotlight search, and Focus Filters are supported throughout.

YOUR STATIONS, ON EVERY DEVICE

Favorites, recently played, and your own manually added streams sync through iCloud — along with your theme, sort order, display preferences, sleep timer presets, and alarms. Add as many of your own stations as you like.

SOUND

Pladio plays MP3, AAC, HE-AAC, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, Opus, and Ogg Vorbis. A five-band equalizer with factory and custom presets remembers its settings per station, and loudness normalization evens out the jump between stations. AirPlay is supported on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE

27 locales, switchable inside the app without changing your device language. Station countries are shown translated, not as two-letter codes.

WAKE UP TO RADIO

Set an alarm that starts a station with a gradual fade-in, even when the device is locked. Or fall asleep to one, with a sleep timer that fades out rather than cutting off.

PREMIUM

Most of Pladio is free, including every widget. A subscription unlocks the Apple TV app, the Apple Watch app, the equalizer, in-app volume control, sleep timer presets, and the station alarm. Available monthly, annually, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

PRIVACY

Pladio shows no ads and does not sell information about you. Location access is optional and used only to find stations near you.

I’ve been searching for something like this for ages! It’s still a work in progress, but already fantastic and has so much promise. When I’m on long road trips, I absolutely love listening to the local nearby radio stations—not just my own playlists. The song identification is spot on (other radio station apps may not provide meta data on currently playing music), and being able to add songs from the radio to my Apple Music Library is an excellent feature. This app seems to be well implemented in CarPlay and is just as seamless as you would hope any music playing app would be during your drive. Some things still need work. Station artwork that is not provided and goes to default is identical so multiple stations with default artwork are not uniquely identifiable. So relying on station artwork is impossible. There is also no played song history so you can’t go back later and add songs to Apple Music library. These are some things that I’m sure will be corrected and added in future versions as this developer seems to be very active. One side edge case feature I would like to see is a “follow me” automation that would switch to other nearby favorite stations as the current station goes beyond a set range, similar to old time road trips. But that is just an outlier request from a Gen Xer. All around this is an outstanding app for live radio fans, especially when paired with CarPlay, and definitely should be something to try out and supported.

On my iPhone it works but it is missing a lot of radio station comparing to radio lite app, on Mac doesn’t request location and doesn’t work at all I don’t see any radio station
