If you have ever held a fish at the end of your line and wondered whether it was a bass, a bluegill or something you should release, FishSnap is built for you. It is a fish identifier and fishing journal in one app, using on-device machine learning to recognise more than two thousand freshwater and saltwater species from a single photo, with no cloud upload and no account. The fish ai runs entirely on your phone, the fishing app side keeps your catch log on your phone, and the whole experience is designed to make a quiet morning on the water quieter — not louder with notifications, leaderboards and a feed of other people's fish.

Snap a photo or pick one from your library, and the fish scanner returns a species match in seconds — bass, trout, tuna, pike, perch, the rare ones too. The fish id screen ranks top candidates with confidence scores so a tricky panfish or a juvenile rockfish does not get filed wrong. Tap through to a fish encyclopaedia with habitat, diet, size range, regulations and behaviour, then log the catch with location, weight, length and trip notes. A fishing log timeline groups every catch by date, a map view shows every spot you have fished, a per-trip photo gallery keeps the day intact, and Home Screen widgets surface your latest catch at a glance.

The fish finder side of the app tracks productive locations across seasons, the fishing journal records weather and tide at the moment of each catch, and best-time analytics surface the windows where your personal log shows the most action. A fish guide library covers freshwater bass, trout and pike alongside saltwater snapper, mackerel and tuna, the fish photo viewer keeps every angle, and a fish detector view scans an album folder in bulk to label a season's worth of catches at once. Catch and release counts roll up by species so you know the year at a glance.

Everything works offline thanks to on-device Core ML, the interface ships in 39 languages with full accessibility, VoiceOver and Dynamic Type, and your data stays on this device — no account, no cloud upload, no third-party server reading your favourite spots.
