Unfortunately, after several months of using this app, it consistently fell short of even basic expectations. The user interface is confusing and not intuitive to navigate, which makes simple actions feel unnecessarily difficult. More importantly, the app is extremely slow. This is not a network issue. From tapping buttons to building out a profile, nearly every interaction has noticeable lag. The recommendation system was also disappointing on my first use of the app. The apps “AI” suggested I visit Chili’s (a national restaurant chain) along with other irrelevant recommendations, including restaurants over 100 miles away from my location. That completely defeats the purpose of a discovery focused app. What’s most difficult to justify is the $3.99 per month subscription - for what exactly? Basic recommendations, even AI driven ones, are standard in this category and widely available for free elsewhere. Charging a recurring fee for a core feature that is not even executed well makes the value proposition very hard to understand. Overall the app shows some potential but in its current state, it needs significant improvement in performance, usability and recommendation accuracy before I can justify its cost.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but CurateAI honestly surprised me. It actually learns what you like and gives recommendations that feel spot on, not random like most apps. Within a short time it was suggesting movies and places I genuinely enjoyed, which almost never happens. The app is super easy to use, smooth, and makes deciding what to watch or where to go way less stressful. You can tell a lot of care went into it. Totally worth it—I’ve already recommended it to friends!
