Mapn - the Travel Mappin' App

Your map, your places. Pin where you've been, see where your friends explore, and find spots your circle actually recommends.

Mapn is a map of the places you've been -- and a way to see where the people you trust have been.

Drop a pin on somewhere you went. Add a note about why it mattered, a photo, a date. Your map fills in as you travel, and every pin is yours to keep private or share.

WHAT IT'S FOR

Blog your travel. Pin the places you've been and why each one mattered. It's a digital passport you can share, or keep to yourself.

Follow your friends. Their pins land on your map as they travel, so you can tag along on their adventures.

Curated recommendations. Find places your circle actually recommends, not strangers on the internet. Popular Spots ranks them by how much people loved them, not just how many went.

HOW IT WORKS

• Your passport is a globe you can spin: every country you've pinned lights up, US states too, and tapping one opens your pins there
• Places are labeled for you -- Mexican Restaurant, Scenic Lookout, Baseball Stadium -- with icons to match
• Tap the globe button on the map to swap between your own pins and everywhere your friends have been
• Filter to one category, or to one person
• Search places, pins and people from one field
• Memory Lane reads the dates and locations already in your photos to suggest trips you never got around to pinning, and places from this day in past years
• Share any photo from the Photos app to Mapn to pin the place it was taken
• Every new country gets its own moment
• Comment on a friend's pin, mention someone, or just tap the heart

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT WHERE IT COUNTS

No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Mapn contains no advertising or analytics SDK, and nothing follows you across other apps.

Memory Lane runs entirely on your device -- your photo library is never uploaded. The only photos that leave your phone are the ones you choose to attach to a pin.

Set your account to private and only followers you approve can see your pins -- and you can remove a follower at any time. Or keep any single pin personal, just for you. Block or report anyone, from the menu on their pin, comment or profile.

Location is used only while the app is open, to center the map and suggest nearby places. No background location. No movement tracking.
