This app is absolute trash! It’s supposed to help customers verify whether their Samsung refrigerator water filter is genuine and report counterfeit filters, yet it can’t even perform its most basic function. I purchased my filter directly from Samsung, and the app STILL refuses to scan it. To make matters worse, there’s no functioning way to report the issue or a suspected fake filter. What’s the point of having an authentication app that can’t authenticate anything? Samsung needs to fix this embarrassment of an app. Complete waste of time. Don’t bother downloading it!

Privacy concerns are mentioned by some, but the core issue is chronic scanning reliability and usability.

The title says it all. Samsung app does not allow the phone to focus on the QR code. Therefore, it is absolutely useless we’re checking the authenticity of the filter.
