Writing this review as a genuine warning for anyone who wants to use it, I remembered this app from years ago and made a post about it on my snap chat saying “Omg who remembers this app?”. A few hours after posting a got a stream of messages saying stuff like “you live in my head rent free”, “are we going to talk about last night”, etc. I thought it was someone trolling and being funny. I got the premium version to see the location of where they sent from and it said the location where my work VPN is connected to.. weirded me out to think someone at work was sending me stuff like that since I only have two people from work on my socials. I made another post yesterday and got some more replies, this time from where the location my home is at (general area) and the YOLO ID was the same. I started to get weirded out because one of the only people I have added from work like around where I do. I got to talking with someone about it and they mentioned how it might be “engagement baiting”, which would be weird to do and they also send you prompts that specifically say they are from the YOLO team, and these messages were coming through as “from a friend”. So I made a post on a private story that only I could and the friend I was speaking to could see. And what happens? A few hours go by and they have replied to my story, same YOLO ID and post location. Super weird, and really creepy thing to do so I’m currently deleting the app and do g recommend it to anyone. Great thing it died off years ago.
