Smart GreenScreen

Smart GreenScreen is a professional chroma key app for macOS and iOS with tracking markers, overlay support, and high-resolution PNG export. It replaces a selected background color (for example green) with another color and helps with camera tracking, livestreams, conferencing, and studio production workflows.

Core Features

Greenscreen / Chroma Key • Replaces a background color with another color in real time. • Adjustable RGB and brightness for both background and marker colors. • 25 color presets for fast setup. • “Slider for marker” toggle: sliders can control either background or marker color. • Tab key toggles greenscreen on/off (black when off). • Overlay image with alpha support (PNG transparency).

Tracking Markers • 4 marker types:

1. Cross
2. Triangle target
3. Checkerboard circle
4. Circle+Cross • Up to 12 markers simultaneously. • Adjustable marker size (3–25% of screen). • Adjustable stroke width for cross-style markers (2–12). • Invert option for better visibility. • Add, move, and delete markers with dedicated modes and clear visual mode indicators. • Default marker color is black on first launch for strong contrast on green backgrounds.

Overlay Tools • Collapsible Overlay section in Settings. • Base overlay image: Load/Remove PNG with transparency. • Floating PNG overlays: import multiple transparent PNGs, place them freely on screen, and position them like markers. • Floating overlays can be moved and deleted using the same Move/Delete workflow as markers. • Dedicated delete action for the overlay image.

High-Resolution PNG Export (Unique Feature) • Export the current greenscreen scene as PNG, including markers and overlays. • Preset export sizes from HD up to 8K. • Custom pixel size input for any workflow. • iOS export options: • Share sheet export (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.) • Save to Files / iCloud • macOS export via native save dialog. • Great for VFX planning, camera-tracking references, scene setup docs, and still frame delivery.

Keyboard Features (iOS) • Optional on-screen keyboard for blind typing on the greenscreen. • “On marker tap only” mode: keyboard appears when tapping a marker, hides with Enter. • Optional clean typing mode with reduced suggestion/autocorrect distractions. • External keyboard support with Tab toggle behavior matching macOS.

Menu Access • macOS: Shift+Click or Cmd+M. • iOS: 3-finger tap (always available), configurable multi-tap (3–10), or long press.

Settings & UX • Save & Load Greenscreen Presets • Auto-saved settings. • Reset to defaults. • Collapsible sections for clearer navigation (Colors, Marker, Overlay, Keyboard Setup, Presets, Export). • Consistent icon-based controls and improved spacing for fast operation during production.

Technical Details • Built with SwiftUI. • Localization: DE, EN, ES, FR, IT, JA, PT, RU, ZH. • Settings stored as JSON in Application Support. • macOS: window + fullscreen, optional auto-hiding title bar. • iOS: fullscreen layout optimized for notch and different screen sizes.
