Wainwright Memories is your simple, all-in-one companion for exploring the Lake District fells and working through every Wainwright—214 main summits plus 116 Outlying Wainwrights (330 peaks in total). Whether you are a seasoned fell-bagger or just starting out, track your progress, celebrate milestones, and relive each day on the hill.

YOUR PEAKS, YOUR PHOTOS Every Wainwright has its own private photo gallery on the detail page. Add photos with your camera, from your library, or pick shots you have already saved in your memories (you can select several at once). Choose a favourite image as the large “hero” photo for that peak—or go back to the classic artwork whenever you like. Your hero image can appear on lists and cards across the app so the mountains you care about look like your walks.

GUIDE & PROGRESS Browse rich information and images for all 330 Wainwright fells. Mark summits complete with completion dates, use bulk completion when you want to catch up quickly, and see your progress at a glance.

MAPS BUILT FOR BAGGERS Explore peaks on interactive maps with clear markers for completed and still-to-do summits—the same visual language everywhere maps appear, from the main map to memory and route views.

WEATHER WHERE IT MATTERS See Lake District conditions on the home screen, and open detailed, peak-level forecasts when you plan a day out—including multi-day outlooks, summit-focused detail, and safety-minded cues when the weather turns rough.

RICH WALK MEMORIES Log each outing with date, weather (including wind-focused options where available), which Wainwrights you summited, distance and duration in the units you prefer (kilometres or miles), and how good the day felt. Add friends who use the app and buddies who were with you even without the app. Attach photos and videos, and browse memories in a story-style layout that puts your pictures and film front and centre. Set a cover photo with a long press on a thumbnail when you own the memory.

ROUTES & IMPORTS Attach GPS tracks (GPX or XML) to a memory, see the line on the map with elevation and journey stats, and work with multiple routes on one day—including order and names you choose. Connect Strava to browse and import activities as routes when you build or edit a memory. On iPhone, you can also bring in routes from Apple Health hiking workouts.

ACHIEVEMENTS & SHARING Unlock badges for milestones and regional progress—your totals stay honest if you unmark a summit. Share beautiful summary cards or media collections to your favourite social apps, and share memories with friends inside Wainwright Memories so the day lives on their phone too.

ACCOUNT, SYNC & OFFLINE Sign in with email, Apple, or Google. Your progress and memories sync securely across devices, with background sync when you reconnect. The app is built for patchy signal in the hills: core data and many actions work offline, with changes catching up when you are back online.

IN-APP PURCHASES Creating memories uses a simple credit system. Credit packs are available as in-app purchases through the App Store.
