Privacy & AI Disclosure

What's on the Plate does not require sign-in and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal account information.

When you choose to analyze a meal, the photo you take or select is sent to our server for nutritional analysis and forwarded to Google Gemini (model: gemini-2.5-flash) to generate the estimate. Your selected language is also sent so results appear in the correct language.

Data is used only for that nutritional analysis. Photos and results are not stored in a database, not sold, and not used for advertising.

The app is free — no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ads.
