This not only picks up trombone sounds but also picks up the sound of the wind and when it is silent it will try to tell you what note it is and it has a play button but no noise comes out even when you turn up the volume on the phone and on the app so overall not a great product. So if you are trying to see if the note you’re playing is correct you need to go somewhere that is silent

As a teenage trombone player finding a good tuner is a challenge sometimes but not this app you play the note and it stays on the note that your playing I recommend super simple to use also
