From the creators of the NDTFileCabinet, MagCal is specifically designed to complement Mandina's Inspection Services, Inc.'s online training. All formulas are based on ASTM, ASME, AWS, and MIL-STD standards. This instrument is beneficial for students to utilize while training or working to earn their Magnetic Particle certification as well as an invaluable tool for inspectors working in the field and for Level IIIs that need to qualify MT Techniques and Procedures. These integrated, easy-to-solve formulas range from calculating different fill factors for coils, head shots, and central conductors to the effective diameters of hollow parts and cross-sectional area ratios. Like the original Ultracal, we developed this calculator to help solve complex MT math equations easily and efficiently. This mechanism is designed to encourage skill-building and confidence while eliminating the learning curve when using scientific calculators and the common feeling of intimidation when confronted by math.
