A COMMITMENT DEVICE, NOT A FILTER Removing a site from your block list takes 24 hours. That gap is the point. It's long enough to outlast the impulse, but short enough to feel reasonable. Your block list is backed by iCloud, so deleting and reinstalling the app won't bypass it.
