NZ Verify Whakatūturu

NZ Verify / Whakatūturu is the New Zealand Government's app for checking digital IDs and credentials presented from a person's phone. Point the app at their screen and in seconds you'll know whether their ID is genuine and valid for your purpose, including: • Confirming a customer is old enough to purchase alcohol. • Checking eligibility for age-restricted products and services. • Verifying identity in person. • Verifying licences, qualifications, and other approved credentials.

NZ Verify can check IDs and credentials stored in the Govt.nz wallet and other compatible digital wallets.

NZ Verify checks digital credentials only. It cannot be used to verify physical ID documents.
