User Reviews

Users praise iResize for its simple, fast, and effective size reduction that preserves quality and eases sharing. However, paywall restrictions, stability issues, and lack of a trial before purchase are common complaints, along with limited support. Overall, it’s a time-saving tool when it works, especially for professionals, but reliability and licensing concerns limit its appeal.
Pros
  • Simple, clean, and easy-to-use interface with a quick 1-2-3 workflow (open video, select quality, convert).
  • Very fast compression that completes in seconds with preserved quality.
  • Effective at shrinking video sizes for easy sharing via email, messages, Slack, Drive, and other platforms.
  • Helps save device space and time for professionals, improving overall workflow and productivity.
  • Reliable for common business use, delivering consistent results across typical use cases.
Cons
  • Paywall blocks saving or sharing without a subscription, making the free version misleading.
  • Crashes and instability during compression, viewing, and saving; sometimes kicks users out at 100% or mid-process.
  • Customer support issues, including unanswered cancellation requests.
  • No trial or test-before-you-buy option to evaluate the app before purchasing.
  • Occasional slow exports for 4K footage.

So I downloaded this to see if it would be an easier way for me to compress videos aside from going all over the Internet to figure it out…the problem is that you don’t get to test it out before deciding to buy it. So as soon as I saw that I decided that this app was not worth my time and deleted it off my phone.

I tried using this service to compress ONE 1 minute and 2 second long video. It crashed several times during the compression process. Then, it wouldn’t let me view my compressed video after it finally completed that process. It crashed every single time I tried to view my file. Then, once I was finally able to view my file, it crashed every time I tried to save it. This should have taken less than 5 minutes and instead, I sat here for 15 minutes trying to get this app to do what it’s supposed to do. I don’t recommend this app at all. There are hundreds of others than I’m sure will give you much less hassle than this one.

The app says it’s free but you can’t actually save or even share your compressed videos without paying for a subscription.
