SwiftConvert turns files into the formats your apps and devices actually accept, and does the whole job on-device. No server, no account, no tracking, no analytics.

PLAY THE MKVs THAT WOULDN'T PLAY iPhone and iPad can't open MKV files. SwiftConvert reads them itself and rebuilds them as MP4. H.264 and HEVC video is copied across untouched — no quality loss, no long re-encode — while AC-3 and E-AC-3 soundtracks become AAC with 5.1 channels intact. Keep just the audio and subtitle track you pick, or keep every one of them as alternates you can switch between in the player. Chapter marks come across too.

TRIM, CROP AND ROTATE Open any queued file and set a start and end point, straighten a clip shot sideways, or crop it to 16:9, 9:16, square, 4:3 or 21:9. Trimming and rotating are lossless — the video still passes through without being re-encoded. Only cropping changes the pixels, and the editor tells you when that's about to happen.

FORMATS AND PRESETS Output MP4, MOV or M4V with H.264 or HEVC video and AAC audio, or pull the audio out on its own as M4A in AAC or lossless ALAC. Four presets are built in — iPhone, Web, Archive and Podcast — and any combination you settle on can be saved as your own preset with a name and an icon.

ENHANCE WHILE YOU CONVERT Super Resolution upscales and sharpens. Motion Smoothing multiplies the frame rate 2x to 8x. Motion Blur, Noise Reduction and two faster low-latency modes round out the set. Everything runs on the media hardware in your device, one enhancement per conversion, and the app tells you up front which ones your device supports.

DESCRIBE WHAT YOU NEED Smart Convert takes a plain sentence — "archive at the best quality", "just the audio" — and picks the container, codecs and quality for you, explains the choice in a line, and offers to save it as a preset. Needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

RUN IT FROM SHORTCUTS Convert Files takes files and a preset and hands back the results without opening the app, so it can sit in the middle of a larger shortcut. Add Files to SwiftConvert Queue drops them into the app instead, ready for you to check the settings first. Both work with Siri.

BUILT FOR BATCHES Queue as many files as you like and start them together. Watch per-file progress, stop the batch at any point, and retry anything that didn't make it. Outputs are named so nothing gets overwritten.

EVERYTHING YOU'VE CONVERTED Finished files are listed with their size and format, ready to play, send through the share sheet, or delete when you need the space back. Each batch also leaves a report of what succeeded, what failed, and why.
