I hope to have visibility to see how many people are in wait list when I choose different locations. Then I could better choose which location to go before having to drive there.

I am a longtime patient with chronic pain due to hEDS and cervical injuries. Regular routine adjustments have been a game changer in improving my overall quality of life, even if The Joint is a somewhat standardized service. I also have ADHD and can never remember how many visits I have or when it renews 🤦🏻 The app is a nice introduction that is very helpful for me. However, there are some key features that I think would make the app much better.
Pros:
1. Nationwide location & accessibility makes getting adjustments while traveling an incredibly valuable feature.
2. Check-in via app. (keycard scan was routinely difficult to login with)
3. I can see the number of visits remaining each month & when my account renews. Lifesaver for my ADHD!
4. I can see which doctor is at a location. I want adjustments by specific doctors that I’ve developed relationships with that understand my hEDS condition and how to adjust me properly.
5. Favorite Doctor feature (limited by Cons 1&2)
6. Military discount.
Cons:
1. The app only shows the Doctor(s) of the day during open office hours. It will not even show the Doctor name during the lunchtime closing. BIG COMPLAINT!! My home office doesn’t open until 10am, so I had to wait until 10am to see which Doctor will be in today.
2. Cannot see doctor schedules ahead of time; such as the week before. BIG COMPLAINT! The offices know the work schedules of their doctors ahead of time, so why can’t the app provide patients with those same doctor schedules?
3. Cons 1&2 make it difficult to plan The Joint visits into my weekly schedule ahead of time; especially since I only want to get adjusted by specific doctors. The offices know the work schedules of their doctors ahead of time, so I’m not sure why the app limits the info to the day-off and only during open office hours.
4. Doesn’t show queue or wait times.
5. Check-in only permitted when my location is within @ <100yds.
6. Cons 3&4 make it difficult to plan for tight time schedules.
7. Lack of Continuity of Care. Doctors are suddenly transferred to different locations without informing patients. Developing a good relationship with medical providers is essential to quality treatment and positive outcomes, especially for patients with chronic conditions like myself. This doesn’t happen overnight; rather, it’s built over time with practical experience and good communication. This issue may not be specific to the app, but continuity of care is negatively impacted when doctors are suddenly moved to different locations with no patient input or notice. It really sucks to finally establish a routine with a doctor only for that doctor to then get transferred. My Favorite Doctor has been transferred 3x over the past year, which means I’ve traveled all over this city just to see the same doctor who understands my medical needs. Now he’s back at my home office again. Just about every Con I’ve mentioned negatively impacts continuity of care.
Address the Cons, especially 1&2, and this would be a great app.
