User Reviews

Overall, users praise Gen Z Bible for its fun, slang-driven presentation that makes biblical content engaging and easier to understand, especially for youth and Gen Z. It’s seen as a helpful, easy-to-read resource and useful for youth ministry. However, recurring concerns include heavy paid content with limited free access, incomplete Bible content (missing verses), and questions about accuracy and alignment with traditional translations. Some view it as more of a commentary-money grab than a faithful Bible. A few users also request features like text-to-speech.
Pros
  • Fun, relatable slang and humor make Bible content engaging.
  • Helpful and accessible, making the Bible easier to understand.
  • Well-received as a youth/young adult resource and useful in youth ministry.
  • Easy to read on mobile and easy to share.
Cons
  • Pricing and access: content is heavily paid with limited free options.
  • Incomplete Bible content: missing verses and not a full translation.
  • Content accuracy and theological alignment concerns; perceived discrepancies with traditional Bible.
  • Viewed by some reviewers as a commentary or money grab rather than a faithful Bible.

Youth pastor here. Truly, I appreciate this as a resource, but, according to my students, from an accuracy perspective, it hits maybe 50%. Probably understandable just based on region. Although, I do think there is a way too much attention and focus on “vibes.“ Beyond that, I’d bump it another star if the user could select the scripture down to the verse and not just chapter. Customizable color themes would be attractive as well. There’s soooo much pink and purple. Also, it’s a bit pricey if youth is the target.
