Features & Capabilities

Visualize is a clinically validated, patent-protected smartphone body scanner that brings medical-grade body composition analysis to your pocket. In a remote UCLA study, the app showed a strong correlation with clinical-grade BIA (ρ = 0.92) and a ±3% error, comparable to DEXA, delivering results in about 30 seconds on-device.

Key capabilities include accurate measurements from two photos (circumference, body fat %, lean mass, bone mineral content), a 3D body rendering, advanced health indicators, goal settings, and easy progress tracking. It supports Apple Health integration and runs entirely on-device to protect privacy with no cloud uploads. With 98% satisfaction from verified reviews, Visualize Me helps you stay accountable and visualize your transformation securely.

User Reviews

Overall, users praise ease of use, speed, and the ability to visualize and track body metrics at home, often at low cost, but reliability problems and inconsistent readings relative to Dexa limit its usefulness for some users.
Pros
  • Very easy to use and user-friendly with quick setup.
  • Fast scans that take about a minute to generate a full body breakdown.
  • Provides a comprehensive set of metrics (body fat %, BMI, waist/hip/neck measurements) and clear visual progress over time.
  • Useful for tracking progress at home and for clients, helping accountability and motivation.
  • Cost-effective option compared with clinic scans (free or low-cost).
Cons
  • Reliability issues: frequent error messages, scans failing, or blank screens.
  • Readings can be inconsistent or inaccurate (e.g., body fat % varies and can misalign with DEXA results).
  • Some users feel the price isn’t justified or would like more features for the cost.

I tested this app out of curiosity. My body fat percentage is under 9%, with some variations between the measurements from my doctor’s office, dexa and my home scale. Avix disagrees: I have 46% according to the app!!! Don’t waste your money

The measurements were pretty off, likely due to the apps inability to take accurate photos. It automatically detects when you are in the requested position, even if you’re not yet in that position. My first reading was 43.6~47.3% and my second was 20.1~21.7%. These measurements were taken minutes apart. The waist measurement was not far off but the hips measurement varied heavily.
