When I took a picture of my food, it told me all the nutritional information about it, but it also used the unit ‘kcal’ (which is a kilocalorie — equal to 1,000 calories) when it told me the amount of calories in the food I was eating. It told me my granola had 244 kcals, which would mean that my granola had 244,000 gram calories in it. The brand of the granola I was eating was “purely elizabeth” and on the bag it says that there are 130 calories per serving (1/3 cup). I had about one serving of the granola. It also measures every other food in kcal. Maybe this is just a misunderstanding of the unit, and they meant gram calories. If so, please make that clear. The kcal measurement could lead to a lot of confusion and inaccurate information.
