Flex Transit offers a convenient and affordable on-demand shared ride service in Escambia County, FL, operating Monday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This service pairs multiple passengers traveling in the same direction into a single vehicle, providing efficient transportation. Flex Transit also connects passengers from their pickup location to the nearest fixed-route bus stop.

Using the Flex Transit app, you can enter your pickup and drop-off locations to be matched with a vehicle heading your way. The fare is $2.50 per ride. Customers who prefer to pay in cash can do so on board, but drivers accept exact fare only and cannot provide change.

Flex Transit vehicles are ADA accessible and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Please note that bike racks are not available. Children under 5 years old or weighing less than 80 pounds must use a car seat provided and secured by the accompanying adult. Additionally, it is recommended that children under 13 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

I am new to Florida. I do not know anyone here and have no clue which way is up or down, let alone the names of streets or even where the local Walmart is. I have used the Bus system since I have gotten here to Florida. They have been my guidance and direction here. I haven’t ever had the most kindest set of people help me in all of my years. The customer service is superb. I can not say one bad thing about this company and its employees. From the staff at the bus station for the regular buses, the staff and dispatch at Flextransit, Management, every single bus driver on both modes of transportation has been very kind and informative. Even to take time to write down bus routes and where places are located. They all are always cheerful and smiling. The buses are always on time and very clean. I have told everyone back home and anyone I encounter here, that the bus station is where it is at!! You guys have got it going on. I am more grateful than I could ever express. Thank you!!

What’s the most important thing about any ride share app? Being able to get a ride. And what’s the last thing you’ll ever do on this app? Exactly that. 99.9% of the time you will get an error message, there will literally ALWAYS be an excuse for why you can’t get a ride. The other .1% of the time, your ride will be late, way too early, come to the wrong place, or drop you off late or at the wrong place. This is what passes for “accessible transport” in this town. Meanwhile the mayor has spent millions of our tax dollars on renovating a street. It’s offensive to every disabled citizen of this city.
