User Reviews

This is a simple AAC app but decent in terms of options-options to type, use icons, record your own voice for speech or you can use high quality voices. You can alter the appearance somewhat by changing the number of rows and columns displayed. I haven’t tried all the features, I tested it out in Greek and I was able to add a message to a button in Greek really easily, with the keyboard I installed separately in Apple settings which it pronounced with a Greek voice I chose as well. I like being able to have both buttons in Greek and in English present on the same board, but would like to have the option IN the button during editing to pick the language so I don’t have to switch back and forth between languages from the main board, though. One caveat/possible bug- when I tried to write something in Greek via the keyboard, instead of saving it to a button, it pronounced each letter in Greek out loud instead of processing the entire word. For people who are willing to take time to customize the buttons, it is by donation, which is reasonable as you can donate what you feel is right if using the app more heavily for communication needs.

My brother is non verbal and using a AAC device given to him by his school but sometimes they forget it at school which makes communication at home that much more difficult. I’ve used several different apps that claimed they were free but then hide the needed features behind a paywall or subscription. This is totally free and 100% customizable depending on the person you want to communicate with. My brother’s face lit up when I made him a “Food” section and he saw all his favorite foods in one place. Thank you truly & definitely download this app!
