LuminaSet Bluetooth Utility is used by embedded firmware developers bringing up new hardware, QA and production-test teams verifying units before they ship, field engineers diagnosing deployed devices, and instructors teaching Bluetooth Low Energy. If you write firmware that exposes a GATT service, this is the tool for confirming it behaves the way you intended — before you write a companion app.
Moving from prototype to production
When you go from one board on a bench to a batch on a line, keeping track of which unit received what becomes the hard part. Write history is scoped to the individual device rather than to the characteristic UUID, so identical units never share a log, and each entry records the time and whether the peripheral acknowledged it. Devices that publish a serial number over the Device Information Service are identified by that serial. Broadcast writes let you push the same provisioning value to every connected unit that supports it in one action.
Supported devices
Works with any Bluetooth Low Energy peripheral, including development kits and modules from Nordic Semiconductor, Espressif, Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs, and STMicroelectronics, as well as commercial sensors, beacons, wearables, and industrial equipment. Requires Bluetooth LE hardware; classic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices are outside the scope of Core Bluetooth and will not appear.
