GIP VISION is an augmented reality work tool for construction sites.

The app helps bring a BIM/IFC model into the real environment, check design decisions before installation, and explain to the team what needs to be built. Site managers, engineers, installation teams, and clients can view the design model directly on site, at real scale and linked to the actual location.

What you can do in GIP VISION:

• place BIM/IFC models in augmented reality at real scale;
• start augmented reality sessions using a six-digit PIN code, a direct link, or the project list;
• anchor a model to the site using an opening, a visual marker, a virtual anchor, or a virtual segment;
• fine-tune placement manually: move, rotate, adjust position, and undo the last alignment;
• use Before/After Comparison mode to check the match between the camera view and the overlaid model;
• control transparency, depth, occlusion by real objects, mixed reality, display distance, and model visualization modes;
• measure distances in augmented reality in the real world and on model elements;
• select model elements with a reticle, view properties, enable labels, and filter elements by IFC types;
• check clashes, openings, and equipment positioning before actual installation;
• use LiDAR control to verify model elements against scan data and export results as an archive;
• create issues and instructions directly on site, attach photos, and record work items in the model context;
• work with steel structure marking: projects, revisions, mark groups, individual marks, element composition, marker-based verification, and status changes;
• open and view models in 3D, select elements, highlight them, and navigate to the required location in the project.

Offline mode:

• create project state snapshots and track package readiness;
• download project archives to the device;
• open prepared models and placement scenarios without connecting to the server;
• work with offline projects saved on the device or on external storage.

LiDAR scanning:

• scan rooms and construction areas on devices with LiDAR;
• save scans and use them to check the actual site condition;
• export results to share with colleagues and for further processing.

GIP VISION helps teams agree on site decisions faster, reduce errors and rework, record issues directly on location, and make the BIM model understandable for everyone involved in construction.
