User Reviews

On my first attempt, it crashed trying to add my cue stick. (Not sure why I’m required to do this?) On the next series of attempts, I broke at about 20mph. The speeds I got were either impossibly low (in the range of 0.08 MPH) or greater than 100. In fact, it currently shows 123.31 for the last test break. This is in my quiet game room (with carpet - so not an echo chamber), a real rack of balls, and a with my Predator BK3 break cue. I tried with short and long recordings. I even tried to adjust the audio markers to get the correct speed, but since you can’t zoom, it’s impossible to get right. I tested this side-by-side with the Predator Break Speed app, which showed correct speeds (verified by examining its audio markers.) The cue ball positioning is very limited. You can’t place the cue where you want, you can only pick from a list. And the side-rail breaks have the cue ball touching the side rail, which will reflect incorrect speeds. I also noticed the app has the exact same wording as the Predator Break Speed app. Today, the first view reads, “Tap the screen to start capturing a break” and “Carefully set the phone on the rail near the breaker.” and “Don't forget to set the table size and cue ball position.” This is word-for-word the same as the Predator app that has been around for over a decade. Might be a copyright infringement there somewhere.
