Tinylog is honestly one of those tools that just makes sense. It's clean, simple, and gets out of your way. New parents especially will love it since the last thing you need when you're sleep deprived is a complicated app.

The growth charts are the main reason we use this app. Being able to see our daughter's weight and length on a real percentile chart instead of just writing numbers down has been a game changer for us. I log her weight after every pediatrician visit and sometimes at home with our baby scale. The chart updates right away and you can see the trend clearly. No spreadsheets, no guessing where she falls. It just shows you. I pull up the chart on my phone at every appointment. Our pediatrician said it is really helpful to see the full trend instead of just comparing two data points. It makes the conversation easier and I feel like we are actually on top of things instead of scrambling to remember numbers. We also track feedings, diapers, and sleep in the same app. Having it all together means I do not have to switch between apps or dig through notes. If something changes with her growth, I can look back and see what else was going on at the same time. If you are logging your baby's weight at all, use something that actually shows you the percentile over time. It takes a few seconds and it makes a real difference at appointments. I wish we had started using it from day one.

We went through four different formulas before finding one that worked for our daughter. Every switch came with a few days of wondering if the fussiness was the formula or something else. Tinylog made it possible to actually keep track of all of it instead of relying on our sleep deprived memories. Every time we tried a new brand, we logged it in the app. When our daughter started having more spit up or got extra fussy, we could look back and see exactly when we switched and what changed. That made it so much easier to talk to our pediatrician about what was and was not working. No more guessing or trying to remember which can we opened last Tuesday. I never thought I would care about lot numbers until a formula recall popped up in the news. We had every lot number logged in Tinylog already. It took us about ten seconds to check whether we were affected. That alone was worth it. If you are formula feeding, just log the lot number when you open a new can. Future you will thank you. The most helpful part was being able to look back over a few weeks and see patterns. We noticed our daughter did better on one brand but only after we could compare side by side. Without the logs we probably would have kept going back and forth and second guessing ourselves. If you are in the middle of switching formulas, start tracking now. Write down the brand, the lot number, and how your baby reacts. It sounds like a lot but it takes a few seconds in the app and it makes a huge difference when you are sitting in the pediatrician's office trying to explain what has been going on. I wish we had started from day one.
