It works as described. For those who are stuck: if you wanna enable the extension, first go to safari, then go to any website, then click the button on the right of the refresh button. It should look like a rectangle with 2 lines underneath it. Click on manage extensions, turn it on then boom shakalaka its done

AI overview is gone for search results on desktop. The AI Mode button is still there however, and the “People also ask” section is seemingly disabled, just FYI.
