Features & Capabilities

SnoreClock is a privacy-first sleep sound recorder and analyzer. It records during user-initiated sessions, detects snoring, highlights likely snoring events, and marks talking, whispering, or coughing. You can compare recordings over time and review volume levels, all stored locally on your device. The app emphasizes privacy—no registration, no tracking, no cloud storage, and on-device data processing. Usage is simple: place your phone near the bed, start recording, and stop in the morning; tap the chart to listen, and pinch to zoom. Note: SnoreClock is not a medical device; consult a professional for sleep concerns.

User Reviews

Users praise SnoreClock for no-subscription access, solid snore recording with automatic analysis, and health-sleep insights, plus privacy. However, multiple reviews report reliability problems (freezes, miscounts, missing data), onboarding/UI gaps, and occasional delays in analysis. The app is useful and privacy-friendly but stability and UX issues recur. Overall, strong value with notable caveats in reliability and guidance.
Pros
  • No ongoing subscription; users can purchase once without recurring fees.
  • Records snore sounds and provides automatic analysis with tagging for events.
  • Helps users monitor sleep and health with actionable insights and understanding of their snoring.
  • Privacy-conscious: does not monetize personal health data.
Cons
  • Reliability and data consistency issues across updates (freezes, miscounting snoring after upgrades, audio/data sometimes unavailable, stats not showing).
  • Onboarding and guidance gaps (intro screens that can’t be closed, limited documentation or interpretive guidance for graphs/data).
  • Occasional performance delays in analysis (waiting for analysis after recording rather than providing instant results).
Recent reviews
No subscription, which is nice. But it’s minimally useful. Snorelab provides much better analysis and has a vastly better UI. Snoreclock has a confusing UI. Pretty much no documentation available on the developer website. At $10, it’s overpriced for what it does.

This app worked great. It recorded every little snore cough and fart and used only 15% battery during the noght. In the morning you stop the recording and it analyzes the recorsing and adds tags whenever any different noise happened. But you can choose to listen to everything (even the quiet parts). It shows the nimber of anores etc. Best part, it works in airplane mode. No connection needed. Also: THEY DON’T SELL YOUR HEALTH DATA. That alone is worth the price of admission. The other snoring apps that are free sell your health data. That means if they find an underlying condition like sleep apnea that can cause long-term negative health effects—they sell that info to health & life insurance companies, employers, etc. Pay the $6 bucks.

I love this app, no stupid subscription, only complaint is a recent update made it have to analyze the recording after the recording instead of during, resulting in a loading bar when recording stops instead of instant results like it used to. Still the best app.
