User Reviews

Many reviews criticize the pricing and onboarding model (subscription, trial charges, and forced sign-up) as the main negatives, with complaints of poor value for a free option. However, several users praise the app’s health/ingredient insights and some positive health outcomes, including mentions of the baby food test. A few users also note improvements after updates. Overall, the app is valued for education on food health but hindered by its pricing and onboarding experience.
Pros
  • Educational insights into ingredients and health implications.
  • Positive user experiences and potential health benefits (e.g., baby food test impact).
  • App updates have addressed reported issues and improved reliability.
Cons
  • Requires subscription and is not free; multiple reviews note high pricing and limited free access.
  • Heavy onboarding and repetitive prompts; users feel forced to sign up before exploring.
  • Trial and payment practices are criticized (charges after cancellation; perceived bait-and-switch).
  • Lack of transparency about which features are free vs. paid; perception of misleading pricing.

This app is so easy to use and does all the hard work for you. I thought we were eating Clean that is Abbott showed me other choices I can make for the same money that is healthier, thank you. Like I have one of these apps for dog food

I can’t wait to keep using this to see how I can change up my pantry

I accepted the free trial under the pretense that it would give me a 24 hour notice before running my card. I received no notification and it ran my card for a year membership. There’s literally no use in having it for a year if you’re someone like me who rotates the exact same foods.
