WattCycle’s iOS app can show basic battery data and bind multiple batteries, and may reveal cell voltages in some cases. However, reviews consistently report instability after updates, unreliable Bluetooth connectivity, account/binding problems, limited data without history or multi-battery views, and a weak UI/documentation experience. Overall, it works only sporadically and feels unstable, with users calling for better support and more complete data access.

Shows basic battery data (state of charge and voltage) for WattCycle batteries.

Allows viewing individual cell voltages by tapping the voltage control in some cases.

Cons

After the March 2026 update, many parameters (for example max discharge temperature) show incorrect values and bound devices require a data connection to refresh.
Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable: devices often aren’t discovered, readings are missing, or data for multiple batteries is identical.
Account and binding issues: cannot create an account, login glitches, pop-ups in non English languages, and poor integration with BMS Meta.
Limited data and no history: no charge history, no multi-battery view, and inconsistent cell data; voltages and SOC are the only metrics shown.
Poor UI/UX and documentation: difficult to use, feels outdated, lacks setup instructions, and support is weak.

Recent reviews

The recent update in March 2026 isn’t able to control “bound” batteries without a data connection. I had to take my batteries out of the camper and find enough data coverage to refresh the Bound Devices (batteries) and enable the outputs.

These batteries and app worked fine. Then the updates. Go to settings & see why nothing works battery parameter is max discharge temperature 149°F per manual, but in the app, it’s 32°F max temp and trying to fix any of these gives “out of range” notification. WHY DID YOU MESS IT ALL UP Watt Cycle?! All the parameters are wrong in settings tab and you can’t fix any of them!!
