User Reviews

Reviews consistently praise WeatherFront as a comprehensive, easy-to-use platform that consolidates radar, models, and satellite data into a single app with strong performance and value. The main caveats are paywalls that gate key features, which can deter casual users, and the desire for broader platform support (MacOS, CarPlay) along with free access to some advanced features.
Pros
  • All-in-one platform that combines radar, modeling data, satellite, and observations into a single app (a true one-stop shop).
  • Easy to use and intuitive UI, making complex meteorology more accessible.
  • Very rich feature set with powerful modeling data (hi-res ensembles, NWP guidance) and robust radar/satellite tools.
  • Fast, reliable performance with real-time data and long-term stability (used by professionals for years).
  • Strong value for money; the subscription unlocks substantial capability without needing separate tools.
Cons
  • Key features and outlooks are behind paywalls; pricing can be a barrier for some users.
  • Can be too complex for casual users who want a basic weather app instead of a technical toolkit.
  • Some advanced features (satellite products, hail modes, etc.) are not available for free and require a subscription.
  • No MacOS desktop version and limited CarPlay support, which some users want for larger screens or in-car use.

This is a money grab , trying to paywall model information and satellite information that free for public use . I would give zero stars if possible .

This app not only has extensive radar data but includes satellite imagery and models. I love the composite images and not having to switch to COD or Pivotal in the field when looking at models. Best weather app available!

Impossible to use, no guide. Every time I try to see the forecast, it gives me the last hour that I already know. Everything else you have to pay for. Most unfriendly app I’ve ever used. Deleted within a week.
