User Reviews

Users praise Drumr for its easy-to-use design, motivating practice, and a growing library of rhythms and rudiments. They value learning new grooves and techniques and welcome features like added tenors. The main drawbacks are a heavy reliance on paid subscriptions, limited free content, and restrictions on family/multi-device use. Beginners especially feel gated by paywalls. Overall, Drumr is a powerful practice tool, but its appeal heavily depends on subscribing and willingness to pay for access.
Pros
  • Easy to use and intuitive interface
  • Large and growing library of scores, rudiments, and practice material
  • Highly motivating and helps improve playing quickly
  • Strong value for rudiments and warmups across skill levels
  • Notable new features (e.g., added tenors) expand capabilities
Cons
  • Content is heavily gated behind a premium subscription; most features require Premium
  • Free content has diminished, making the app feel expensive for non-subscribers
  • No family sharing or easy multi-device licensing; separate subscriptions are needed
  • Beginners can struggle to access basics due to paywalls
  • Perceived aggressive subscription model and licensing can reduce perceived value

Good but everything is literally on the premium version

I have been using this app for a bit over a month now and it has been amazing! The features are very convenient and easy to use, and there are a lot of scores on the app to play along to. I highly recommend this app to anyone at any skill level of drumming!!

My only ‘critique’ with this app so far is that it didn’t exist when I was first starting drums. It’s a great tool if you want to expand your rep or break down your grooves and licks nice and slow.
