User Reviews

Players praise Ellipse: Rocket Simulator for its fun, engaging space-building gameplay, strong mobile performance without ads, impressive graphics, and helpful tutorials. Many also note that paid expansion packs can add worthwhile parts. However, reviews repeatedly flag a steep learning curve with rocket control, occasional lag and mission freezes, gating of content behind expansions, gaps in planetary content, and occasional bugs like parachute and docking issues. Overall, it’s a solid, visually appealing mobile sim with room for improvement in accessibility and content depth.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging rocket-building/space-sim experience
  • No ads; clean mobile experience
  • Strong graphics with realistic Earth visuals
  • Helpful tutorials aiding learning
  • Expansion packs/paid content add worthwhile parts and value for mobile
Cons
  • Difficult to control rockets; steep learning curve
  • Lag and mission freezes affecting gameplay
  • Paid expansions gating content (extra parts) and perceived pay-to-play pressure
  • Content gaps: limited planetary content (inner planets only; outer planets largely missing) and missing features like save slots or easy delete button
  • Occasional bugs (parachute cut issues, docking physics problems)

I downloaded this game after Artemis II because I got inspired to get into manned spaceflight. Still playing it and have landed on all celestial bodies (and made colonies) and made a 1/1 iss in earth orbit. I know that it’s on mobile so there’s limits and everything, but adding some more planets would make it a lot more fun. Also, when I attempted (and kinda succeeded) making an SSTO, all went well until re-entry when I tried gliding down using the stock fins (dont have expansion) but the spacecraft dropped vertically instead of gliding like the space shuttle. Anyways in short AMAZING game best KSP analog for mobile out there but a few things could be added/altered for better experience keep doing what you’re doing Astrelix👍
