Direct2Go helps you find places you can actually use: wheelchair toilets, step-free entrances, automatic doors, lifts, ramps, disabled parking, adult changing places, accessible showers, hearing loops and many more features.

You are not looking for "a restaurant". You are looking for a restaurant you can get into, with a toilet you can use. That is the question this app tries to answer.

THE MAP • Places around you, with their accessibility features. • A search radius you set yourself. • Filter by category and by feature: only places with a step-free entrance, for example. • Tap the crosshair in the middle of the map to pick an exact spot, even without a pin — then share it or navigate to it. • Look Around where Apple offers it, so you see the entrance before you leave.

SEARCH • By name, address or keyword. • Voice search: speak instead of typing. • Find AED: press and hold the app icon and the app names the nearest registered AED.

DETAILS AND ACTIONS • Today's opening hours, parking information, contact details. • Navigate with Apple Maps or Google Maps — your choice. • Share a place by message: the recipient gets a link that opens on their side. • Add a missing place or correct a wrong detail. Contributions keep the data alive.

WHAT'S AROUND ME • Pick a category and a distance up to 500 metres; the app warns you as you get close — with a sound, a spoken sentence or vibration only. • Works walking, in a wheelchair, on a bike and in the car. • Pocket mode: phone in your pocket, screen locked, alerts keep coming.

GPX ROUTES • Import a GPX file from any route planner, or share it straight to Direct2Go. • "My routes" keeps your rides: thumbnail, distance, climb, estimated time, elevation profile and waypoints. • Optional spoken guidance on the way, with the screen off if you like. Choose your voice and speech rate. • Filter places along the route: a toilet three kilometres off your path is no use to you.

DIRECT2GO ROUTES • Download routes checked by a person; you see who, when and what was surveyed: surface, width, kerbs, gates, benches. • What is not listed was not checked — which is not the same as "absent". The app says it that way because the difference matters when you decide whether to go.

FOLLOW ME • Share a link with the people close to you: they see your position, your progress along the route and your estimated arrival, in a browser, without an app or account. • You decide when it starts and stops. Nothing is kept afterwards.

EVERY DAY • Home address and a "Home" button: one tap to head home. • Quick actions from the Home Screen: press and hold the app icon. • Light and dark mode, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver.

PRIVACY Direct2Go contains no trackers and no analytics. Your location is used to show places around you and to guide you — it is sent to a server only if you start "Follow me" yourself, and it disappears when you stop. Sign in with Apple is optional.

AN HONEST NOTE The accessibility data comes from people, not from an algorithm. A feature may be wrong or may have changed since it was recorded. Report it in the app: it is corrected for everyone. And for routes, the app describes what was measured or surveyed — it never promises that a whole route will suit you.
